The AEMC 6526 megohmmeter is a handheld, battery powered, multi-function 1000V digital insulation resistance tester. It is designed to measure Insulation Resistance, Continuity, Resistance, Capacitance, Frequency and Voltage. With a safety rating of 600V CAT IV and IP 54, the AEMC 6526 performs insulation resistance at either 50, 100, 250, 500 or 1000V and is able to measure insulation resistance values up to 200GΩ.

The 6526 also incorporates a 700V AC & DC True RMS voltmeter and continuity testing with a selectable 20mA or 200mA test current. Additionally, the AEMC 6526 includes a Timer and Lock function which allows the user to operate the unit hands free, and an automatic safety check protects both the user and the meter with audiovisual signals and test inhibition when >25V is present on the test sample. DAR, PI, Alarms and backlit Pass/Fail test functions are standard, and a large digital/analogue LCD multi-function display provides clear and easy readings enhanced by a bright blue electroluminescent backlight.

A magnetic stand can hold the meter to a metal surface or cabinet during the test, and an optional Remote Test Probe accessory with flashlight simplifies repetitive testing and helps access hard-to-reach, poorly lit, test areas. With the possibility to save up to 1300 tests in the memory and Bluetooth communication with DataView software, the AEMC 6526 will work well in industrial environments where a wide range of test voltages, up to 1000V, are required.
