The AEMC 6536 megohmmeter is a handheld, battery powered, multi-function 100V digital insulation resistance tester, designed for special extra low voltage applications. It is designed to measure Insulation Resistance, Continuity, Resistance and Voltage, and with a safety rating of 600V CAT IV and IP 54, the AEMC 6536 performs insulation resistance at a variable voltage between 10 and 100V with a 1V increment measuring insulation values up to 20GO. The AEMC 6536 also incorporates a 700V AC & DC True RMS voltmeter and continuity testing with a selectable 20mA or 200mA test current, plus the 6536 includes a Timer and Lock function which allows the user to operate the unit hands free. An automatic safety check protects the user and the meter with audiovisual signals and test inhibition when >25V is present on the test sample. Alarms function is also standard on this insulation tester. A large digital/analogue LCD multi-function display provides clear and easy readings enhanced by a bright blue electroluminescent backlight. A magnetic stand can also hold the meter to a metal surface or cabinet during the test. The optional Remote Test Probe accessory with flashlight simplifies repetitive testing and helps access hard-to-reach, poorly lit, test areas. An optional ESD Floor Test Kit to test and verify flooring designed to control electrostatic discharge is also available The AEMC 6536 is designed for special applications where the voltage needs to be set accurately in 1V increments for testing.
