Designed with the operator's needs in mind, the RD8100 RF marker locator advanced cable, pipe and RF marker locator is lightweight and ergonomically constructed whilst also providing a sensitive and responsive tool for detecting and locating utilities.

The RD8100 range retains the environmental durability associated with an IP54 rating, meaning you can operate it in almost any environment. The locator and transmitter both feature large, high contrast, backlit LCD screens that provide the user with clear information in any light conditions. The intuitive and responsive user interface has easily identifiable icons that are consistent across the locator and transmitter range, ensuring straightforward operation.

Locator Features:

Centros™: RD8100 RF marker locators are Centros™ enabled. Centros™ is a measurement engine based on more than 30 years of continuous development, combining new and innovative algorithms with tried and tested software in a high performance microprocessor. Centros™ improves locator accuracy and repeatability, delivering timely responsiveness.

ILOC™: ILOC is an advanced long range Bluetooth link between the RD8100 marker locator and transmitter (TX-5B or TX-10B) that helps save the operator time and effort. iLOC allows control of the transmitter remotely up to 450 meters (line of sight providing), enabling the operator to spend less time walking and more time locating. 

Trudepth™: Indicates depth when the locator is oriented correctly above the target pipe, cable or marker for the most accurate reading. 

GPS: All RD8100 marker models can connect to external GPS receivers, allowing positional data to be associated with locate histories. Optional internal GPS on the RD8100 marker locators provides ‘street level’ accuracy positional data for associating with usage history of points of interest without the need for an external device.

RD Maps™: RD8100 marker locators can create utility maps in real time utilising the free RD Maps Android app. Create KML utility maps in real time and share them directly from the field using the app. Use Google Maps to review and correct any errors. Product professional maps that can be e-mailed or shared.

Peak/Null Mode: Helps to identify the effects of distortion due to ground effects or nearby utilities. Simultaneous display of peak bar graph response and proportional null arrows allow a quick assessment of locate conditions.

Remote Calibration: Using the Windows software, locators can be checked for correct calibration and operation over the Internet without the need to return the RD8100 for service. A calibration certificate can be saved, emailed or printed or a service can be booked should any issue be detected.

Extended Warranty: Radiodetection offers a free upgrade to a 3 year extended warranty on RD8100 marker locators and transmitters (product must be registered within 3 months of service). Registration also offers free product software and feature upgrades.

Bluetooth Connectivity: The RD8100 marker locator models detect all commonly used RF utilities markers. TruDepth™ automatic depth estimation without the need for two step measurements allows for faster & more accurate surveys. Combined mode allows scanning for cables, pipes and markers simultaneously.

Data Logging: On board memory* can store over a year’s worth of locate history at one second intervals. Data can be backed up to a PC at any time giving virtually unlimited record keeping for the life of the product. Retrieved data can be analysed for compliance or training requirements.
